ARCA (Archive and Resource Center for the Americas) is an initiative to unite datasets and resources for the history of the Americas, especially Spanish America. Beyond the functionality as a mere repository, it aims at integrating datasets by docking them to a shared framework of central resources, systematics and format standards. The quintessential framework database, HGIS de las Indias, is also the seed resource for the initiative.
